Artist Statement

Common object as a phenomena of society production always hide alternative shape, which turns it into an artefact. It is usually related to the function and individual history of an object as design and as a tool. This needs to be tracked and identified. Actually I work more with people’s perception of current object in a new way and that’s how I believe they face a new reality.

This reality is not illusive, but related to the real object properties as a potential for its new modified, post-producted existence.Important moment is social activity related to the original object, which determinate shape of its hybrid a lot. Social activities are for me as well very good background for humor content in my works, which is a handy mediator.

Another parallel in my work is a figural content, which is latently present in the objects and sometimes is even openly presented if needed. Choice of materials depends on an idea, topic and objects themselves. During the work with actual material it can happen the material dictates the final form of an art piece.
